Sour Gas Clause Samples

The 'Sour Gas' clause defines the handling, processing, or delivery requirements for natural gas that contains significant amounts of hydrogen sulfide or other sulfur compounds. In practice, this clause may specify quality standards for gas to be accepted, outline procedures for testing and measurement, or allocate responsibility for treating or removing sour components before delivery. Sour Gas. It is specifically understood, and by its execution of this Agreement Contractor expressly acknowledges, that the Work may involve exposure to hazardous substances, including but not limited to hydrogen sulfide gas, commonly known as sour gas. Contractor has the duty to notify, provide appropriate safety equipment for and train its employees and the employees of any Subcontractor as to these exposures. Contractor has the duty to monitor a safety program addressing these points when these exposures exist and insist that all safety measures be carried out by all such employees. Contractor will require that all such employees wear the safety equipment when the work contemplates exposure to hazard substances.
