Soils Engineer. 1. A soils engineer will inspect the natural soil at the bottom of excavations for structures. Provide Engineer with 72 hours notice (exclusive of weekends and holidays) when the areas are expected to be ready for such inspections. 2. Do not prepare subgrade or place concrete until such inspection has taken place (or waived by Engineer) and resulting recommendations of Engineer have been carried out.
