SOFTWARE AND LICENSING. Software piracy occurs when one installs and/or uses software for which proper payment has not been made. Protected software may not be copied into, from, or by any St. Clair County facility or system, except by license. Users authorized to install software are expected to consult the SCCBOE Technology staff when considering purchasing or installing any software to certify doing so will comply with vendor licensing agreements. Copying software between school and home computer is prohibited. The Director of Technology is responsible for ensuring that the computers are fully compliant with vendor licensing agreements. All school owned software licenses acquired by donations, departmental or grade level purchases, or promotional programs must be registered with the Technology Department. School owned software may not be copied onto personally owned computers.
SOFTWARE AND LICENSING. Terms of this contract including acceptance testing and IP indemnification, are applicable to all software and licensing. The Contractor hereby grants to Owner a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable (except to its affiliates) license to use the Software provided pursuant to the Contract. , Owner’s use of the Software includes the right to (a) copy, execute, display, enhance, modify, update, maintain and/or adapt any of the Software; (b) create and use new versions or derivative work of the Software; and (c) combine the Software with other programs and materials.
SOFTWARE AND LICENSING. ▪ Software used on School ICT resources must be solely that which has an accompanying individual or site license. The Senior Network Manager is responsible for maintaining records of this. ▪ Any software that is purchased should be passed to the Senior Network Manager for installation. The Senior Network manager will keep original copies of software and site licenses. ▪ Internet-derived materials and video recorded must comply with the relevant copyright and licensing laws. ▪ There is an inventory of hardware and software used in School. ▪ The school will ensure the monitoring of software and that appropriate procedures are in place to highlight when action needs to be taken by the school.
