Sister. If a Teacher is requested by the Superintendent or Building Administrator to attend a function on behalf of the Board or school, such time shall not be charged to the Teacher’s personal time.

Sister. The teacher’s sick day use for family shall be limited to a total of 30 days per school year, except in cases when the doctor provides a statement indicating the family member needs continuous care to be provided by that teacher. E. By the first payroll in October, the Board will furnish each teacher with a statement of their accumulated sick leave credit. F. Teachers will be paid $25.00 per unused sick day upon leaving the district after five (5) consecutive years of service. These days are limited to the current limit of 130 days. Termination due to illegal activity would disqualify a person from this section. G. Teachers who have been employed by Bangor for greater than 15 years upon resignation will receive the following amounts for each unused sick leave day:  45% of the current substitute daily rates of pay for days through 130 days  75% of the current substitute daily rates of pay for days beyond 130 days The unused sick days beyond 130 days will be known as “Incentive Unused Sick Days”. These days will be recorded and can never be lost and will only be used for payment upon retirement.

  • Children/Grandchildren An employee may purchase life insurance in the amount of ten thousand dollars ($10,000) as a package for all eligible children/grandchildren (as defined in Section 2A2 and 2A3 of this Article). For a new employee, child/grandchild coverage requires evidence of insurability if application is made after the initial effective date of coverage as defined in this Article, Section 5C. An employee who becomes eligible for insurance may purchase child/grandchild coverage without evidence of insurability if application is made within thirty (30) days of the initial effective date as defined in this Article. Child/grandchild coverage commences fourteen (14) calendar days after birth.

  • Birth Father and Adoptive Parent An employee who is the birth father, the adoptive father or the adoptive mother shall be entitled to up to thirty-seven (37) consecutive weeks of parental leave without pay. The employee shall take the leave within fifty-two (52) weeks of the child's birth or date the child comes within the care and custody of the employee.

  • Immediate Family Immediate family includes husband, wife, child, stepchild, brother, brother-in-law, stepbrother, sister, sister-in-law, stepsister, grandmother, grandfather, grandchild, parent, stepparent, mother-in-law, father-in-law, or any person serving as a parent, or who has served as a parent, or any other close person living in the same household as the employee.

  • Child A biological, adopted, or ▇▇▇▇▇▇ child, stepchild, legal ▇▇▇▇, conservatee or a child who is under eighteen (18) years of age for whom an employee stands in loco parentis or for whom the employee is the guardian or conservator, or an adult dependent child of the employee.
