SINGLE UNIT. In the event of a layoff, employees with the least seniority shall be the first to be laid off, providing the employees remaining on the payroll are qualified to perform the work remaining to be done. Layoff will not affect continuous service seniority for a period of three (3) years commencing with the date of layoff. An employee on layoff shall retain seniority and right to recall, within the bargaining group and level or lower level of the bargaining group in seniority order for a period of three (3) years after the date of layoff. Employees shall be given fourteen (14) calendar days written notice of layoff.
