SINGLE SHIFT OPERATION. F. Special Shift When due to conditions beyond the control of the Employer or when an owner (not acting as the contractor), a government agency or the contract specifications requires that work can only be performed outside the regular day shift, then a special shift may be worked at the straight time rate. The starting time of work will be arranged to fit such conditions of work. Such shift shall consist of eight (8) hours work for eight (8) hours pay or ten (10) hours work for ten (10) hours pay for four ten shifts. In the event the special shift is less than forty (40) hours in duration the Employee will receive an additional $1.00 per hour special shift premium. This premium pay does not apply to work outside the normal shift that is paid in accordance with Article 17, Overtime. A special shift premium, as defined in Appendix 1, Schedule A, shall be paid for each hour worked during a special shift. This premium pay does not apply to work outside the normal shift hours that is paid in accordance with Article 17, Overtime.

SINGLE SHIFT OPERATION. Eight (8) hours shall constitute a day’s work, five (5) days shall constitute a week’s work, Monday through Friday. A single-shift operation shall be restricted to the hours between 5:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. and eight (8) hours of continuous employment (except for lunch period) shall constitute a day’s work Monday through Friday of each week. In the event the entire job is down due to weather conditions Monday through Friday, then Saturday may, by mutual agreement, be worked as a voluntary make-up day at the straight time rate. Such shift for the Cement Masons will be the established shift for the jobsite unless altered by mutual agreement. Four (4) ten (10) hour shifts at the straight time rate may be established either Monday through Thursday or Tuesday through Friday. In the event the entire job is down due to weather conditions, then Friday (when working Monday through Thursday) or Saturday (when working Tuesday through Friday) may, by mutual agreement, be worked as a voluntary make-up day at the option of the Employer. All hours worked in excess of ten (10) hours a day or forty (40) hours a week must be compensated at the overtime rate. No employee shall be discharged, laid off, disciplined, replaced or transferred for refusing to work a voluntary make-up day, provided they inform the Employer they will not be working. In the event of a civil emergency such as, but not limited to, earthquakes, floods or fires, starting time of the shift may be made to fit the emergency and eight (8) hours in any twenty-four (24) hour period may be worked at straight time. In order to work such shift, mutual agreement shall be received.
SINGLE SHIFT OPERATION. (Day Workers) The above hours include a half-hour (30) lunch period, paid, and two (2), ten (10) minute breaks. The 4-Group Continuous 3-Shift Operation and the 10- Day Continuous 3-Shift Operation will work progressively over the three shifts noted, in accordance with the schedule of days of work and days off posted in the department. A five (5) minute wash-up period will be allowed each Employee immediately prior to the lunch period. It is understood and agreed that the Company will stagger the lunch period to permit the uninterrupted operation of enamel, drawing, wrapping and other production machines. Granting of this wash-up period is subject to cancellation if the privilege is abused by Employees quitting work in advance of the prescribed time, or otherwise extending the total time allowed for wash-up and lunch.

  • Co-operation 1. The Parties shall take all appropriate and necessary measures to ensure fulfilment of the obligations and objectives arising out of this programme agreement.

  • Business Operations Company will provide all necessary equipment, personnel and other appurtenances necessary to conduct its operations. Company will conduct its business operations hereunder in a lawful, orderly and proper manner, considering the nature of such operations, so as not to unreasonably annoy, disturb, endanger or be offensive to others on the Airport. Company will provide all services under this Agreement on a fair and reasonable basis to all users of the Airport. Service will be prompt, courteous and efficient.

  • CONTINUITY OF OPERATION Section 1: No Strikes, Work Stoppages or Lockouts Neither of the parties shall utilize any economic sanction to force its position on the other party over any issue. Further, no Employee or group of Employees shall individually or through concerted action, take part in any activity that impedes the operation of the business, except as otherwise authorized by this Agreement. Should any person or group of people participate in any such unauthorized activity, upon notification of such occurrence, the Union or the Company, as the case may be, will direct such person or group of people to resume normal operations and will take effective means to cease the unauthorized conduct. Any employee or group of employees who participate in such unauthorized activity shall be subject to immediate dismissal, unless mitigating circumstances exist that are acceptable to the ERRC. Should either party suffer financial damage as a result of such unauthorized activity, they may pursue compensation for such loss at the arbitration step of the Concern Resolution Process, and the arbitrator shall have full authority to remedy any violation of this Article.

  • Emergency Mode Operation Plan Contractor must establish a documented plan to enable continuation of critical business processes and protection of the security of electronic DHCS PHI or PI in the event of an emergency. Emergency means any circumstance or situation that causes normal computer operations to become unavailable for use in performing the work required under this Agreement for more than 24 hours.

  • System Operation The Parties shall adhere to any applicable operational requirements of PJM necessary to protect the integrity of the transmission system within the PJM Control Area and the transmission systems of interconnected control areas, and shall satisfy any and all PJM, RFC and NERC criteria, when applicable. The DS Supplier shall also adhere to any applicable operational requirements of the Company necessary to protect the integrity of the Company’s local distribution system.

  • Interim Operations The Company covenants and agrees as to itself and its Subsidiaries that, after the date hereof and prior to the Effective Time (unless Parent shall otherwise approve in writing and except as otherwise expressly contemplated by this Agreement):

  • Current Operating Areas Where logging or road construction is in progress but not completed, unless agreed otherwise, Purchaser shall, before opera- tions cease annually, remove all temporary log culverts and construct temporary cross drains, drainage ditches, dips, berms, culverts, or other facilities needed to control erosion. Such protection shall be provided, prior to end of a Normal Operating Season, for all disturbed, unprotected ground that is not to be disturbed further prior to end of operations each year, including roads and associated fills, tractor roads, skid trails, and fire lines. When weather permits operations after Normal Operating Season, Pur- chaser shall keep such work on any additional disturbed areas as up to date as practicable.

  • Processing operations The personal data transferred will be subject to the following basic processing activities:

  • Commencement of Operations The Partnership shall not begin operations on its Leases unless the Managing General Partner is satisfied that necessary title requirements have been satisfied.
