Common use of Signing Out Clause in Contracts

Signing Out. Students and parents should make every effort to make medical appointments outside of school hours; however, should an unavoidable situation arise making it necessary for a student to leave school, a medical statement and parent contact with the office are required prior sign-out. Sign-out notes should be brought to the office prior to the start of school at 8:10. Sign-outs require direct parent communication or parent pick-up. Notes of students driving or leaving with someone other than a parent must be verified by a phone call from a parent prior to the student leaving school. Unauthorized departure is truancy. Sign-outs come under the same jurisdiction as attendance: Illness, Medical, or Special Emergency only.
