Significant Others. How do significant others / partners (if applicable) fit into guest rules, if not already addressed? If a partner visits, how long or how often can they stay? Are there noise limits? If you share a room, can roommates request alone time—if so, how and when?
Significant Others. The Parties shall communicate with one another about the existence of a significant other in one of their lives before telling the Children about the relationship and/or introducing that person to the Children. [Optional: Neither Party shall introduce a significant other to the Children until s/he has been dating that person for a minimum of [6] months.] Until that time, the Parties shall make best efforts to avoid a situation where the Children are in contact with a significant other in person, by phone, or electronically. The purpose of this provision is to permit each parent to know in advance of the existence of individuals who may become significant in the Children’s lives.
