Shift Minimum Hours Sample Clauses
The Shift Minimum Hours clause establishes the minimum number of hours an employee must be scheduled or paid for when assigned a work shift. Typically, this means that even if an employee is sent home early due to lack of work, they are still compensated for a set minimum period, such as three or four hours. This clause ensures employees receive a guaranteed baseline of pay for each shift, protecting them from unpredictable or excessively short work assignments and providing greater income stability.
Shift Minimum Hours. Employees starting their regular shift or called and starting to work after the starting time of their regular shift shall receive not less than four (4) hours pay for the first half of the shift and, if required to continue on second half of shift, they shall receive pay for a full shift. This payment does not apply during after-hour or off-shift callouts. Callouts after hours, on weekends, or on holidays do not constitute a shift.
