Shared Utility Charges Clause Samples
The Shared Utility Charges clause establishes how utility costs that benefit multiple parties or units within a property are to be divided and paid. Typically, this clause outlines the method for calculating each party's share—such as by square footage, number of occupants, or another agreed formula—and specifies the process for billing and payment. Its core function is to ensure fairness and transparency in distributing utility expenses, thereby preventing disputes and clarifying financial responsibilities among tenants or property users.
