Service Control Points (SCP)/Databases. 9.7.1 Call Related Databases provide the storage of, access to, and manipulation of information required to offer a particular service and/or capability. BellSouth shall provide access to the following Databases: Local Number Portability, LIDB, Toll Free Number Database, Automatic Location Identification/Data Management System, and Calling Name Database. BellSouth also provides access to Service Creation Environment and Service Management System (SCE/SMS) application databases and Directory Assistance. 9.7.2 If TCG chooses to gain access to BellSouth’s call related databases, it may do so by connecting to BellSouth’s network at the regional STP level. TCG will not be required to connect to BellSouth’s databases at each SCP. 9.7.3 A SCP is deployed in a SS7 network that executes service application logic in response to SS7 queries sent to it by a switching system also connected to the SS7 network. Service Management Systems provide operational interfaces to allow for provisioning, administration and maintenance of subscriber data and service application data stored in SCPs.
