Seniority Conversion. It is understood that when a part-time employee’s seniority and service is converted to full-time the conversion date shall not predate the employee’s most recent date of hire, unless such predating had occurred prior to June 1, 2001 through an earlier conversion.
Seniority Conversion. (a) A Nurse who changes employment status from Regular to Casual shall have the Nurse’s Regular Seniority converted to hours paid on the basis of one (1) year of Casual Seniority equalling 1950 hours paid and shall then accumulate further Casual Seniority on the basis of regular hours paid. A Nurse who was a Regular Nurse on or before Feb 26, 2004 who changes employment status from Regular to Casual and then to Regular shall have all regular hours paid converted to Regular Seniority.
Seniority Conversion. (a) When a Nurse transfers from a permanent position to a casual position, the Nurse’s hours worked shall be used to establish Nurse’s accrual of hours for the Nurse’s date of hire in the casual position. In no case will any Nurse accrue more than 1950 hours seniority per year for the purposes of the above.
Seniority Conversion. The Corporation recognizes that part-time and casual employees who become full-time shall bring their accumulated seniority with them by converting seniority hours into a seniority date whereby every two thousand and eighty (2080) hours equals one (1) year of seniority. Similarly, full-time employees who become part-time or casual employees, shall be credited with their full-time seniority by converting a seniority date into seniority hours whereby every one (1) year of service equals two thousand and eighty (2080) hours of seniority.
Seniority Conversion. An employee’s seniority and service shall be retained by the employee in the event that the employee is transferred from full-time to part-time or in the event the employee is transferred from casual to regular part-time or vice-versa. An employee whose status is changed from full-time to part- time shall receive credit for her full seniority and service on the basis of fifteen hundred (1500) hours paid for each year of full-time seniority and service. An employee whose status is changed from part-time to full-time shall receive credit for her full seniority and service on the basis of one (1) year of seniority and service for each fifteen hundred (1500) hours paid. Any time worked in excess of an equivalent shall be pro-rated at the time of transfer. No seniority date shall precede the last date of hire.
Seniority Conversion. On-call employees entering a regular position shall be credited with years of service and seniority pro-rated according to the number of hours worked as an on-call employee.
Seniority Conversion. Permanent part-time employees will accrue seniority at the rate of 75 percent from the date of employment, until such time they may be appointed to a permanent full-time position.

Under this seniority conversation formula, seniority shall be pro-rated for partially completed years of continuous employment (e.g., an employee with 1.5 years’ seniority would be credited with 2250 paid hours and an employee with 2250 paid hours would be credited with 1.5 years seniority) It is understood that in no circumstances shall an employee’s seniority and service predate the employee’s most recent date of hire.
Seniority Conversion. 20.01 In the event that an employee moves from a part-time to a full-time position within the bargaining unit, he or she shall be entitled to be credited for all accumulated seniority based on the seniority lists. The same principles shall apply when a full-time employee moves to a part- time position within the bargaining unit.
