Self-Employed. An individual who has Earned Income for a Plan Year from the trade or business for which the Plan is established. A Self-Employed also includes an individual who would have had Earned Income but for the fact that the trade or business had no net profits for the Plan Year.

Self-Employed. Contractor represents that he/she has established his/her own business as a self-employed, approved provider of Home Support Services. Contractor further represents that he/she has chosen to provide Home Support Services under this Contract and to bring Consumer into his/her home based on Contractor’s own independent business judgment. Contractor acknowledges he/she is free to contract with another agency to provide services to any eligible person with developmental disabilities and is not obligated to perform work exclusively for or with the Agency. Contractor acknowledges he/she is free to engage in any other business activities, provided that those other business activities do not interfere with the services and obligations required by this Contract. Contractor acknowledges he/she has the opportunity for profit and loss as a result of the services being performed under this Contract.   • Future Employment During Executive’s Company Employment and for eighteen (18) months following the termination of such employment for any reason, before accepting any employment with any Competitive Business (whether or not Executive believes such employment is prohibited by Section 8), Executive shall disclose to the Company the identity of any such Competitive Business and a complete description of the duties involved in such prospective employment, including a full description of any business, territory or market segment to which Executive will be assigned. Further, during Executive’s Company Employment and for two years following the termination of such employment for any reason, Executive agrees that, before accepting any future employment, Executive will provide a copy of this Agreement to any prospective employer of Executive, and Executive hereby authorizes the Company to do likewise, whether before or after the outset of the future employment.

  • Re-Employment An employee who resigns her position and within sixty (60) days is re-employed, shall be granted a leave of absence without pay covering those days absent and shall retain all previous rights in relation to seniority and other fringe benefits subject to any benefit plan eligibility requirements.

  • Termination of Employees Agent may in its discretion stop using any Retained Employee at any time during the Sale, subject to the conditions provided for herein. In the event that Agent desires to cease using any Retained Employee, Agent shall notify Merchant at least seven (7) days prior thereto, so that Merchant may coordinate the termination of such employee; provided, however, that, in the event that Agent determines to cease using an employee “for cause” (which shall consist of dishonesty, fraud or breach of employee duties), the seven (7) day notice period shall not apply, provided further, however, that Agent shall immediately notify Merchant of the basis for such “cause” so that Merchant can arrange for termination of such employee. From and after the date of this Agreement and until the Sale Termination Date, Merchant shall not transfer or dismiss Retained Employees except “for cause” without Agent’s prior consent. Notwithstanding the foregoing, Agent shall not have the right to terminate the actual employment of any Retained Employee, but rather may only cease using such employee in the Sale and paying any Expenses with respect to such employee.

  • Cessation of Employment In the event Executive shall cease to be employed by the Company for any reason, then Executive's compensation and benefits shall cease on the date of such event, except as otherwise provided herein or in any applicable employee benefit plan or program.
