Customers can leverage the TNL system to support self- directed, individual-focused professional growth activities, such as watching videos of best practices, reviewing best- in-class lesson plans, etc. Administrators add resources lesson plans, books, videos, external conferences, URLs, etc. to the catalog of professional learning activities. These activities can be set up to allow for anytime, anywhere access with no specific class time, date, instruction, or location. Educators access the resources at their leisure. The system will render content such as PDFs, videos, Flash modules, documents, and URLs. The administrator can determine if a user earns credit or a certificate of completion for accessing resources. Self-directed resources can be aligned to user demographics such as grade level and subject and can also be recommended to users based on evaluation, assessment and observation results.
