Segmentation reference standard. Each lymph node was interactively segmented by reader 1, using the application Lymph Node Task Card, developed by Siemens, Malvern, PA (USA). Segmentation was performed in the VIBE image, which was also used as the input for the auto- matic segmentation algorithms. The location of each lymph node was listed as a seed point, defined as the center of the manual segmentation of the node. Subsequently, the two readers discussed each lymph node and changed its segmen- tation where needed.
