Common use of Section Rest Breaks Clause in Contracts

Section Rest Breaks. Any dependent contractor shall be entitled to one break of fifteen (15) minutes during both the first and second half of any shift and, where practical, during each two (2) hour period of overtime, excepting during that period where a meal period is provided Section above.

Any dependent contractor or company driver shall be entitled to one (1) break of fifteen (15) minutes during both the first half and second half of any shift and, where practical, during each two (2) hour period of overtime, excepting during that period where a meal period is provided under Section above. A rest break shall be provided if the overtime worked is to exceed thirty (30) minutes. The commencement of this break may be staggered, but not beyond one half hour.
