Section 9.9.3. 32 Employees on layoff status shall file their addresses and telephone numbers, in writing, with 33 the personnel department of the District and shall thereafter promptly advise the District, in 34 writing, of any change of address or change in telephone number.
Section 9.9.3. If not FMLA eligible or after FMLA has been exhausted, an employee shall be granted 25 leave without pay up to a 12-week maximum for the purpose of caring for a terminally ill child under the 26 age of eighteen (18). 28 Section 9.9.3.1. If such leave is foreseeable, the leave shall be requested at least fourteen (14) days in 29 advance. 31 Section 9.9.3.2. Any employee returning from leave provided in Section 9.9.3. shall be assigned to the 32 same position held at the time the leave commenced, or if that position is no longer available, the 33 employee shall be assigned to an equivalent position if possible. 34
Section 9.9.3. 26 The employee will retain accrued sick leave, vested vacation rights, and seniority rights while on 27 leave of absence. However, vacation credits, sick leave, and seniority shall not accrue while the 28 employee is on leave of absence; provided, however, that if such leave is approved for extended 29 illness or injury, seniority shall accrue. 32 33 ARTICLE X 34 35 PROBATION, SENIORITY AND LAYOFF PROCEDURES 36
