The most senior driver shall have the first opportunity to 42 bid one trip followed by the next most senior driver bidding one trip and so forth until all 43 regular drivers have had an opportunity to bid. Regular drivers shall bid unscheduled extra 44 trips in the same manner. Any trip not assigned by this process shall be offered to other 45 qualified and available regular employees based on preference given to the employees with the 46 earliest hire date. Any extra trip that remains unassigned shall be offered to substitute drivers.

Section 7.7.3. The District agrees that each regular morning route and each regular afternoon route 40 will be a minimum of two (2) hours duration. Such two (2) hours shall include pre-trip, post-trip, 41 cleanup, and safety check time. 42
Section 7.7.3. 29 Drivers will be paid sixty (60) minutes for pre/post trip work for trips and bus security on non- 30 school days.
Section 7.7.3. 38 All overnight trips will be assigned on a straight seniority basis. These trips will be paid twelve 39 (12) hours per twenty-four (24) hour day. The day will be considered to have started when the 40 driver reports to work for the trip. In the last part of the trip, if a full day is not completed, the 41 driver will be paid for the number of hours between the end of previous day and the end of the 42 trip, up to twelve (12) hours. When an overnight trip falls within the driver’s regular run times, 43 on weekdays, the drivers shall be paid their base hourly rate for all time that falls within their 44 regular run times. Reasonable meals and lodging will be paid.
