Section 6.7.2. 1. 4 The trip sign-up sheet shall provide such information as date, destination, starting time, 5 and approximate length of time of the run. Extra trips shall be posted for driver 6 consideration in a reasonable time prior to bidding. Posted bid week is Monday through 7 Sunday. Eligible drivers who are interested in selecting extra trips must meet with the 9 forfeit their choice of selection for that week’s posted trips. 11 Drivers must have worked their last designated work assignment to participate in the 12 weekly bid. If a driver has any non-paid time off during the bid week, that driver is not 13 eligible to participate in the weekly bid. Drivers unable to attend the weekly bid due to 14 other work assignments or route schedules (i.e., a p.m. only route) may leave, in order 15 of preference, selected choices in writing with the transportation office. If written 16 choices are selected by other drivers, assignments may be made by the supervisor based 17 upon the driver’s request. Trips shall be awarded to the eligible senior driver on a 18 rotating basis. A trip will not be assigned to a driver if that run would cause that driver 19 to be paid for over forty (40) hours in the workweek that includes the trip in question; 20 provided, that the District retains the authority to waive this forty (40) hour bar to the 21 assignment of trips and the authority to assign substitutes to trips when regular drivers 22 are not available.

Section 6.7.2. 1.1. 25 At least one supervising coach or teacher must ride the bus to and from trips.
Section 6.7.2. 19 All new and open routes that increase by thirty (30) minutes or more, by the end of the third 20 week of the school year, shall be re-posted. Any new or open routes that increase by thirty (30) 21 minutes or more during the school year shall be re-posted within thirty (30) days of the increase 22 in time.

Extra Runs. 41 Extra runs and shuttle runs between in-district schools shall be defined as all trips other than 42 regularly daily scheduled runs pursuant to Sections 6.7.1 and 6.7.2. Extra runs and shuttle runs 43 will be assigned on the basis of seniority for those drivers who are determined by the District to 44 be available to add a shuttle run to the end or before a regularly daily scheduled run. Extra runs 45 and shuttle runs shall be added time to regular runs and are not subject to a minimum of two 46 hours of compensation as defined in Section 6.7.2. 47
Section 6.7.2. 11 Employees shall be paid for all hours worked. Employees will make reasonable efforts to 12 inform the supervisor about emergent issues that require overtime work.
Section 6.7.2. 3 31 In the event a trip is canceled after having been awarded, and the driver is not notified 32 of the cancellation prior to reporting for the trip, such driver shall be allowed to bid first 33 the following trip and the driver will be paid for two (2) hours at the driver rate. 34 Regardless of notification of the cancellation, such driver shall be allowed to bid first 35 the following trip
Section 6.7.2. 8 Overtime shall be calculated in the following manner: 1) only actual hours worked (including 9 call-outs) shall be used for purposes of the forty (40) hour calculation, 2) work on holidays will 10 be paid at two (2) times the employee’s base pay, 3) work on holidays shall be counted for 11 purposes of the forty (40) hour calculation (e.g., an employee works 3 ½ hours on a holiday and 12 works a total of forty-three and a half (43 ½) hours in the workweek, the employee shall be 13 compensated 3 ½ hours double time for the holiday and 3 ½ hour overtime pay at one and one 14 half (1 ½)times for hours above forty (40), 4) all hours worked on Saturday will be paid at one 15 and one half (1 ½) times the employee’s base pay, 5) all hours worked on Sunday will be paid at 16 two (2) times the employee’s base pay.

  • Section 6.2 33 The Association representatives shall represent the Association and employees in meeting with 34 officials of the District to discuss appropriate matters of mutual interest. They may receive and 35 investigate to conclusion complaints or grievances of employees and thereafter advise employees of 36 rights and procedures outlined in this Agreement and applicable regulations or directives for resolving 37 the grievances or complaints. They may not, however, continue to advise the employee on courses of 38 action after the employee has indicated a desire not to pursue a grievance. The Association may consult 39 with the District on complaints without a grievance being made by an individual employee.

  • Section 4.5 7 The President of the Association and designated representatives may be provided time off without loss 8 of pay to a maximum of ten (10) days per year to attend local, regional or State meetings when the 9 purpose of those meetings is in the best interest of the District as determined by the District 10 administration.
