Section 5.5. 25 Employees required to work through their regular lunch periods will be given time to eat at a time 26 agreed upon by the employee and supervisor. In the event the District requires an employee to forego a 27 lunch period the employee shall be compensated for the lunch period at overtime rates, provided that the 28 employee works the entire shift, including the lunch period.

Section 5.5. Employees assigned a shift of more than five consecutive hours shall be allowed a 40 thirty (30) minute uninterrupted lunch period as near as possible to the midpoint of the work period 41 as practicable. Mealtime is non-compensated time. However, employees required to work through 42 their assigned, regular mealtime will be given time to eat at a time mutually agreed by the employee 43 and the employee’s immediate supervisor. In the event the District requires employee to forego 44 mealtime and the employee works his/her assigned regular shift, including the mealtime, the 45 employee shall be compensated for the foregone mealtime.
Section 5.5. 48 The Maintenance Supervisor shall meet with Custodial Leadman and Maintenance personnel prior to 1 each of the three (3) scheduled breaks to coordinate the scheduling of equipment and maintenance 2 activities.

Section 5.5. 1. Night custodians who perform duties related to community use of facilities 48 may include their lunch period within their regular eight hour shift due to the necessity of 49 remaining “on call” during what would otherwise be considered an uninterrupted, duty free 1 break.
