Section 2 – Contractors. 12 The Association recognizes that the County has the management right to 13 decide to contract out bargaining unit work to the private or public sector. 14 Such decisions shall, however, be made only after the affected department 15 has conducted a formal feasibility study determining the potential cost and 16 other benefits, which would result from contracting out. The County agrees to 17 notify the Association within five (5) business days of its decision to conduct 18 a formal feasibility study indicating the job classifications and the work areas 19 affected. The County shall provide the Association with no less than thirty 20 (30) calendar days’ notice that it intends to contract out bargaining unit work.
