Common use of Scrapped Material Clause in Contracts

Scrapped Material. The Buyer shall retain any defective Warranted Part beyond economic repair and any defective part removed from a Warranted Part during repair for a period of either one hundred and twenty (120) days after the date of completion of repair or sixty (60) days after submission of a claim for Inhouse Warranty credit relating thereto, whichever is longer. Such parts shall be returned to the Seller within thirty (30) days of receipt of the Seller's request to that effect. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the Buyer may scrap any such defective parts which are beyond economic repair and not required for technical evaluation locally with the agreement of the Seller's local representative. Scrapped Warranted Parts shall be evidenced by a record of scrapped material certified by an authorized representative of the Buyer.
