School Policy Violation Sample Clauses
School Policy Violation. The Parties agree that school officials and the Police Liaison Officer play important and distinct roles in responding to student misbehavior to ensure school safety and promote a positive and supportive learning environment for all students. The Police Liaison Officer shall not serve as a school disciplinarian, as an enforcer of school regulations, or in place of school-based mental health providers, and the Police Liaison Officer shall not use police powers to address traditional school discipline issues, including non-violent disruptive behavior. The Police Liaison Officer will report school policy violations through the proper channels to be handled by school administration. It will be a responsibility of the Police Liaison Officer to become familiar with the Student Handbook or Student Code of Conduct, but it will not be the responsibility of the Police Liaison Officer to enforce the rules in these documents. The Police Officer Liaison will use their professional training and discretion when determining to intervene in a situation that occurs at the Trenton Public Schools.
