The Scheduling and Dispatching Software clause defines the terms under which software used for organizing and assigning tasks or resources is provided, accessed, or maintained within an agreement. Typically, this clause outlines the scope of software functionality, user access rights, and any support or update obligations from the provider. Its core practical function is to ensure both parties understand their rights and responsibilities regarding the use and management of scheduling and dispatching software, thereby reducing misunderstandings and operational disruptions.
Scheduling and Dispatching Software. The Broker must utilize scheduling and dispatching software that has been proven effective in a Medicaid NEMT environment. The scheduling system must be capable of accommodating advanced reservations, subscription service and requests for urgent service. The software should track scheduling tasks for reporting purposes as identified in Section 9 below. The reservation/scheduling NEMT software utilized by the Broker must have automatic address validations, distance calculations and trip pricing.
