Scanning. (1) A Visible Light Scanner will be used. The scanner is designed to read medium density bar codes. (2) For optimum scanning, the leading and trailing quiet zone margin (bar code symbol to vertical box lines) will be a minimum of 0.25 inch (6.4mm).
