Saving Work Clause Samples

The "Saving Work" clause defines how completed or partially completed work is handled if a contract is terminated before all obligations are fulfilled. Typically, this clause requires the contractor to deliver any finished or in-progress materials, documents, or products to the client upon termination. For example, if a project is canceled midway, the client is entitled to receive all drafts, designs, or code developed up to that point. The core function of this clause is to ensure that the client retains the value of work already performed, minimizing wasted effort and resources in the event of early contract termination.
