Saturday Shift Clause Samples
The Saturday Shift clause defines the terms and conditions under which employees may be required or permitted to work on Saturdays. For example, it may state that employees scheduled for a Saturday shift will receive time-and-a-half pay or must be notified at least 48 hours in advance. Saturday Shift. The minimum rate to be paid to a continuous shift worker for ordinary work rostered to be performed between 11.00 pm on Friday and 11.00 pm on Saturday shall be time and a half. Such extra rate shall be in substitution for and not cumulative upon the relevant shift allowances prescribed in sub-clause 14.1.1
Saturday Shift. An Employee rostered to work ordinary hours between 2400 Friday and 2400 on the following Saturday will be paid a loading on the ordinary rate of pay of 50% on actual hours worked during this period.
Saturday Shift. In the event that the Company establishes and implements a shift that encompasses a Saturday, the Company agrees it will first attempt to fill the shift through the selection of volunteers. Where an insufficient number of volunteers are available, the remaining vacancies will be filled by reverse seniority or new hires. The Company agrees that only those employees hired after January 1st, 2012 will be forced to move to the shift.
Saturday Shift. A shift worker working on a Saturday early morning, afternoon or night shift as part of their normal work roster shall be paid, in addition to the ordinary hourly rate, an allowance of sixty (60) per cent in addition to the shift allowances in subclauses 23.1, 23.2 and 23.3 of this clause.
Saturday Shift. A technician regularly scheduled to work Monday through Friday, who works the Saturday shift will receive the following Friday off without pay. For the purpose of overtime for the technician the hours worked in the week during which the technician worked on Saturday shall be averaged with the hours worked the following week. If Company is unable to schedule time off a one dollar ($1.00) per hour shift premium and time and one half (1 1/2) will be paid.
Saturday Shift. Shift workers for work on a rostered shift, the major portion of which falls on a Saturday shall be paid at the rate of time and one half of the employee's normal salary rate, but such rates shall be in substitution for and not cumulative upon the shift allowances more particularly set forth in subclause (b) - Afternoon and Night Shift Allowances hereof. The provisions of this subclause shall not prejudice any right of an employee to obtain alternatively any higher rate in respect of that work by virtue of any provision of this award.
Saturday Shift. Ordinary hours worked on Saturday shift will be paid as follows:
Saturday Shift hour week consisting of five (5) eight (8) hour days Tuesday to Saturday with a start time not to be earlier than 7:00 a.m. and not later than 9.00 a.m. with (2) breaks of ten (10) minutes each with a ½ hour unpaid lunch. Hours worked on this shift for Tuesday to Friday will receive a $0.50 per hour premium. Saturday hours on this shift will receive a $3.00 per hour premium.
Saturday Shift. For ordinary hours worked as part of the shift roster between 24:00 on Friday and 24:00 on Saturday shall be time and a one half ordinary time rates for the first two hours and double ordinary time thereafter. Such extra rate shall be in substitution for and not cumulative upon the shift allowances prescribed in subclause 16.4 hereof.
Saturday Shift. The first eight (8) hours of the Saturday shift shall be paid as time and a half and double time thereafter until the completion of the shift.
