Samples and Mock-Ups Clause Samples

The "Samples and Mock-Ups" clause defines the requirements and procedures for providing physical or digital examples of materials, products, or work before full-scale production or installation begins. Typically, this clause specifies when and how samples or mock-ups must be submitted for approval, who is responsible for their costs, and what standards they must meet. For example, a contractor may need to provide a sample of a paint color or a mock-up of a wall section for the client’s review. The core function of this clause is to ensure that all parties have a clear, agreed-upon reference for quality and appearance, thereby minimizing misunderstandings and reducing the risk of costly rework later in the project.
