Sample Web Application. The CPU is normally the bottleneck in the generation of dynamic contents (▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ et al., 2004). Therefore I consider a simple Web application consisting of one Java servlet that performs a CPU-intensive job. The servlet accepts two parameters, baseline (baseline time) and iters (iterations) and performs a matrix calculation up to the baseline time. The complete code of the servlet is given in Appendix A.
