Runoff Control. Preparation shall be made so that runoff from steep, erodible surfaces will be diverted into stable areas with little erosion potential. Frequent water checks shall be placed on dirt roads, cat tracks, or other work trails to control erosion.
Runoff Control. (i) Measures shall be undertaken to ensure that runoff containing suspended soil particles is minimized from entering the land drainage system to the extent possible, to the satisfaction of the Contract Administrator.
(ii) Areas that are heavily disturbed and vulnerable to erosion or gullying will be dyked to redirect surface runoff around the area prior to spring runoff.
(iii) Construction activities on erodible slopes shall be avoided during spring runoff and heavy rain fall events.
(iv) Soil and fill shall not be stockpiled on immediate watercourse bank areas.
