Rules for Accepting Gifts. A. Routine Gifts. Routine Gifts may be accepted by the Diocese or a Related Institution in its own discretion without the prior review or approval of the Gift Acceptance Committee. For example, Unrestricted Gifts of publicly traded securities, including mutual fund shares, may be accepted by the Diocese or a Related Institution in its own discretion without the prior review or approval of the Gift Acceptance Committee. Notwithstanding the foregoing, however, unless otherwise determined by the Gift Acceptance Committee, all publicly-traded securities shall be sold upon receipt.
