Rubber Sample Clauses

Rubber. 6.1 When rubber pipe covering is cut for any reason, the cut shall be made neatly so that when glued the edges will fit together without voids or irregularities.
Rubber. Furnishing rubber shall be the responsibility of the Employer. The Employer may require a deposit on all rubber issued to the Employee. Deposits on rubber are to be returned to the Employee when rubber is returned to the Employer.
Rubber. During the quarter under review, rubber production declined to 21,455 metric tons, from 21,730 metric tons in the previous quarter, reflecting a 275 metric tons fall in production. The slight reduction was mainly attributed to low shocks in supply. Compared with the corresponding quarter in 2011, rubber decreased by 5,776 metric tons (Table 2 & Chart 1)
Rubber. The predominant source of rubber in MSW is discarded tires. Approximately 800 to 850 million scrap tires are currently stockpiled across the United States and over 266 million more are generated annually, according to the Scrap Tire Management Council. Approximately 22.3 percent of the weight of all rubber tires generated in 1997 were recovered for recycling (excluding retreading). Improperly operated stockpiles can create serious health and environmental threats from fires and insect- or rodent-borne diseases. Most states now have scrap tire management legislation fostering alternatives to tire stockpiling and disposal. One of these alternatives is tire retreading, and retreads are already designated in the CPG. The largest uses of scrap tires are tire-derived fuel and civil engineering applications. Another alternative is to use crumb rubber, either alone or mixed with plastic, to produce new products. Crumb rubber, a fine granular or powdered material capable of being used to make a variety of products, is recovered from scrap tires using thermal and/or mechanical processing techniques. Crumb rubber also is derived from the tire retreading process, when worn tire tread is removed during a buffing process before the new tread is affixed. Rubber materials derived from this process are frequently referred to as “buffings” or “buffing dust.” Approximately 200 million pounds of tire buffings are generated each year by the tire retreading industry in the United States. Several of the items proposed for designation in CPG III contain recovered crumb rubber from tires: railroad grade crossing surfaces, mats, carpet cushion, and sorbents.
Rubber. This raw rubber is called latex. Latex contains about 30 percent dry rubber content. Latex is centrifuged to increase the percentage of rubber content in it. Natural rubber is vulcanized with sulphur and other materials to make it less susceptible to temperature. The tyres of vehicles and automobiles are made of vulcanized rubber. Rubber is more elastic than polymer. Both natural rubber and the crumb rubber from the used tyres of vehicles can be used for the modification of bituminous binder. Scrap rubber may be used in aggregate during pavement construction to improve riding quality (Infratech Polymers Inc.; Rubberized Asphalt Concrete Technology Centre, 2000) and reduce noise of vehicular movement.
Rubber. Furnish molded or extruded rubber waterstops having a uniform cross section, free from porosity or other defects, and meeting the nominal dimensions specified in the contract. An equivalent standard shape may be furnished if approved. The waterstop may be compounded from natural rubber, synthetic rubber, or a blend of the two, together with other materials that produce a finished waterstop meeting contract requirements. Reclaimed material cannot be used. Furnish a manufacturer's certificate showing the material composition and the values for the designated properties in Table 707-2. Furnish samples when requested.TABLE 707-2PROPERTIES AND TEST METHODS - FINISHED RUBBER WATERSTOP PROPERTY2006 EDITION JOINT MATERIALS - 707

Rubber. Rubber is listed in Sensitive Products List of China with the import tariff of 20 percent. In order to facilitate the export from Lao PDR to China, Lao PDR plans to initiate the 20 Refer, notification on Sanitary and Phytosanitary Measures (SPS) for EU countries, NO. 0612 /DOA, dated 10 April 2013 (including coffee beans and rice)21 Refer, Circular Guiding on the Food Safety Control for Imported Foodstuffs on Plant Origin, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Vietnam, No. 13/2011/TT-BNNPTNT, dated 16 March 2011.negotiation on SPS measures of rubbers with China. At present, China is investigating rubber production in Lao PDR. The Lao PDR’s Department of Agriculture, Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry is drafting the bilateral agreement with China. Once it is agreed, rubbers will be able to export to China officially.22 Therefore, exporters at the moment refer rubber import regulations of China. It was noted that the processing factories/producers are mainly Chinese investors. They received export quotas under arrangement between Lao PDR and China. China set sanitary and phytosanitary (SPS) requirements on the import of some agriculture products particularly corn, watermelon, banana, cassava (dried, powder) and rice (excluding paddy) from Lao PDR. These five products could be exported to China through international border checkpoint based on SPS requirements signed by the two countries.
Rubber. The ball shall be covered with a coating of gum rubber. The rubber coating shall be black and shall contain 55-65 percent rubber by volume. The rubber shall be compounded with lamp black and zinc oxide, without barytes or lead, to yield an elastic product having a specific gravity of 1.2 to 1.3 at 15oC. The sum of the organic acetone, chloroform, and alcohol-alkali extracts shall not exceed 18 percent with total sulfur approximately 2 percent.
Rubber. The granulated rubber shall be vulcanized rubber product from the ambient temperature processing of scrap, pneumatic tires. The granulated rubber shall meet the following gradations: No substitutions will be accepted. Sieve Size % Passing
