Rich. Basically, I didn't do too well at school. Yeah, my grades and all that weren't very good. And Hartlepool wasn't that great for employment at the time. So. Remembering back, I was about twenty-three, twenty-four and I'd had various different jobs and I'd just come a bit stuck. I think I had a bank loan that I wasn't able to pay off and I'd been laid off of a job. I'd spoke to somebody that was thinking of joining the Army and that's where it just popped into me head then. Like, no, no one in my family, to my knowledge, had been in the Army. And then I thought, I'll have a slice of that pie. And then off, straight then, I went to the careers office and everything. Met this ▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇ lad. He did me ▇▇▇▇ test.60 I probably didn't do that well on me ▇▇▇▇ test either. Ended up in an infantry unit and never looked back since really.
