RFA for Construction. The City will prepare the RFA for Construction per Caltrans LAPM Chapter 3 using the dynamic form (LAPM-3A). R.E.Y. will assist the City as requested up to the budgeted amount in this contract. Once the City receives the E-76 Waiting List (formally called “Authorization to Proceed”), the project will be ready to go out to bid. ⮚ As-Needed assistance Task 12: Bid Support: Once the bid documents are approved, Contractor will assist the City throughout the bidding process including compliance with Chapter 15 of the LAPM up to the budgeted amount in our contract. During the bidding phase, an engineer from R.E.Y. will attend the pre-bid meeting. Contractor will assist with responding to bidder questions and providing clarifications during the bidding process. ⮚ Pre-Bid Meeting attendance ⮚ Assist the City with responding to bidder questions Phase II: Construction (CON) Task 13: Construction Documents: Once the bidding is complete and a contractor has been selected, conformed construction documents will be prepared. All bid addendums will be merged into one complete set of conformed construction documents. Task 14: Construction Engineering Support: As the design consultant, R.E.Y. will provide construction engineering support as requested by the City and/or construction management team up to the budgeted amount in this contract including: • Attending one Pre-Construction MeetingResponding to Requests for Information • Providing Design Clarifications • Performing a Final Inspection for Design Conformity
