Retroactive Authorization Clause Samples

The Retroactive Authorization clause allows actions or decisions taken before formal approval to be officially recognized and validated after the fact. In practice, this means that if a party undertakes an activity or incurs expenses prior to receiving explicit consent, the clause enables those actions to be subsequently approved and treated as if they had been authorized from the outset. This mechanism is particularly useful for addressing situations where immediate action is necessary and waiting for formal approval would cause delays, ensuring that such actions are not penalized or rendered invalid due to procedural timing.
Retroactive Authorization. If a local department of social services issues a POSO with an effective beginning date prior to the date of issuance, authorized attendance recorded outside of the nine-day back swipe limit, defined as the current day plus previous eight days, may be reported manually. Vendor attendance reports will not be processed if submitted for invalid reasons.
