Retiree. Notwithstanding any provision of law to the contrary, for the purposes of these regulations, a “retiree” is defined as a former employee who, at the time of retire- ment, is receiving an annuity benefit from an entity-sponsored retirement system.

Retiree health insurance and life insurance coverage may continue until the teacher is eligible for Medicare. The retiree’s spouse may continue on the plan as permitted by state and federal law. All retirement provisions as provided in Article V shall apply.

Retiree. SURVIVING SPOUSE PENSION ALLOWANCE The Company will pay each retiree or surviving spouse an amount of $550.00 in each December. This allowance will only apply to those persons in receipt of the benefit as of May 25th, 2013.
