Responsibility for Verification Clause Samples

The Responsibility for Verification clause assigns the duty to confirm the accuracy or authenticity of certain information, documents, or actions to a specific party within an agreement. Typically, this means that one party must take reasonable steps to check that all relevant details—such as financial records, compliance certifications, or product specifications—are correct before proceeding. By clearly designating who is responsible for verification, this clause helps prevent disputes over errors or omissions and ensures accountability in the transaction or relationship.
