Reschedule Policy. Rescheduling outside of 7 days will incur a charge of $15.00 reservation cancellation fee. Rescheduling your visit within 7 days will incur a charge of one night stay, plus $15.00 reservation cancellation fee. POA (Pay on Arrival): We do not offer this service. Prepayment is required to rent all campsites. Check-in Policy: Check-in time is 1:00 PM. Check-out time is 12:00 PM. Without prior notification, we will hold the site for 12 hours after your scheduled check-in time (1:00 AM). You will be charged for the day that is held for you. Following this period, we will return the site to our inventory for other campers. Stated cancellation fees will be incurred. CAMPGROUND RULES AND POLICY SUMMARY Campers shall register at the Entrance Facility before occupying a campsite, unless otherwise instructed by posted signs or by other clear means. All fees will be paid prior to set-up on the designated site. Only registered guests may occupy the site. A campsite is reserved when the rental fee for the site has been paid, which shall be indicated by a camping permit affixed to the numbered campsite post. A duplicate permit will be provided at check-in. Stonewall Resort reserves the right to change or modify site assignments based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, occupancy levels, mechanical issues, weather, and maintenance needs. All extensions or changes to reservations for additional days require prior approval and an additional reservation process. Extensions may be granted based on occupancy levels. Relocation may be required to accommodate additional days. All extensions require prepayment of fees at time of site confirmation. These changes may be subject to cancellation penalties. All registered guests must have passed their 18th birthday to be eligible to reserve and rent a campsite. The primary renter of the site is answerable for the actions and safety of the registered guests and visitors of the campsite and will be liable for any actions of or damages caused by these guests or visitors. Camping in any manner is prohibited except at assigned, numbered sites in areas designated for camping. All camping equipment and associated materials must be located within the confines of the assigned site. Campground sites and facilities are provided for the exclusive use of the registered campers. The length of stay in any camping area shall not exceed fourteen (14) consecutive nights, except after Labor Day until the first day of May of the following year. Campsites may be rented for longer periods, at the discretion of Stonewall Resort, should vacant sites be available. In no case will occupancy of any campsite be extended to any user, without the presence of the registered primary renter of the site with a completed reservation process including payment of all fees in full. No more than two (2) motor vehicles are permitted on a campsite at any time. Parking shall occur on designated paved site areas or gravel shoulders. No parking is permitted on grass surfaces, between sites 5 & 6, 12 & 13, 17 & 18, or along the inside edge of either loop in the campground. Additional parking is available at the Roanoke Building Parking Lot for any vehicles beyond two (2). Passes for additional vehicles can be secured (with prepayment) at the Entrance Facility for $5 per day. A non-family group may have only one (1) camping unit (tent, trailer, motor home, camper, van, etc.) on its campsite. A family camping group may be permitted to have one (1) or two (2) small tents on its campsite in addition to the main camping unit, but in no case may the additional units be ecologically detrimental to the campsite. A family is defined as parents or guardians and their dependent children. It is the policy of Stonewall Resort to not provide information to/or about our guests. Therefore, any visitors that you may invite to visit you during your stay must have prior knowledge of your site number prior to their arrival. The customary $5 entry fee will be charged to these visitors. Site parking restrictions (no more than 2 vehicles per site) apply to visitors. Additional parking is available at the Roanoke Building Parking Lot. Day passes for additional vehicles can be secured (with prepayment) at the Entrance Facility for $5 per day. Campsites shall be vacated by noon on the day the campsite permit expires. Late check-outs may be granted with prior approval from Stonewall Resort. No late check-outs will be granted within 24 hours of the end of the rental period. No pre-approved late check-outs will extend beyond 4 p.m. The campsite rental fee does not include the use of any other facilities or services for which a fee or rental is charged. Use of recreation facilities is available with purchase of Resort Activities Pass at the Entrance facility. This pass allows for use of various resort facilities and activities for one low price for up to four (4) users of an individual rental site. Additional fees are required for additional users. This pass includes the use of the swimming pool and fitness center. This pass does not include designated resort special events. The washing of any equipment, paraphernalia, clothing, pet or the body is prohibited in lakes, ponds, pools and streams. The washing of cooking utensils, tableware, flatware, or any other cooking or eating paraphernalia is prohibited in comfort stations, bathhouses and washrooms. Hay, straw, boughs, pine needles or other similar materials shall not be kept or used in tents or screened rooms or under shelters for bedding or any other purpose. Fires are only permitted within designated fire rings located on the campsites. Firewood can not be transported into or used in this facility that has not been purchased through Stonewall Resort. This is recommended by the West Virginia Division of Forestry. This greatly reduces the spread of forest diseases and insects and helps protect the state park’s woodlands. No object may be driven into or attached to any tree, shrub, rock, sign, building or other object or structure in a state campground. Trenching or digging in a campsite is prohibited. Trimming of trees, branches, and other native areas is prohibited. Quiet hours are in effect and shall be observed and enforced from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. This includes, but is not limited to, playing music, loud talking, and the use of generators and other powered equipment shall not be operated during quiet hours. Uncased weapons, including, firearms and bows and arrows are prohibited within the boundaries of Stonewall Resort State Park, unless otherwise designated by special event permit, i.e. permitted hunts as defined and administered by the West Virginia Department of Natural Resources. Wildlife is not to be fed within the park boundaries. Care should be used in the disposal of food and garbage to avoid wildlife encounters. No explosive materials or other dangerous substances are permitted. This includes fireworks. Hunting is not allowed within park boundaries. Fishing within park boundaries requires a valid West Virginia Fishing License (available in the marina). Motorcycles, ATVs, golf carts, scooters, and other unlicensed motorized transportation units are prohibited for use within the boundaries of Stonewall Resort State Park. Stonewall Resort reserves the right to use golf carts within the boundaries of the golf course and utility vehicles for service purposes within the Resort boundaries. Posted speed limits must be obeyed within park boundaries. There are many users of the roads in this facility, thus safety is of utmost importance. No bicycle may be ridden in a campground after dark, unless it is equipped with lights on both front and rear and the lights are turned on while the bike is being ridden. WV State Law requires that all children under 15 years of age must wear helmets when riding their bicycles. Pets must be restrained on a sturdy leash not to exceed ten (10) feet in length and the owner shall clean up after the pet, keep it from disturbing others, and be responsible for any damage that may occur by their pets. Boat storage is offered to our guests beginning at the end of their stay for an additional 7 days. We understand the need to store boats for return trips and will allow guests to do so at their own risk in the Marina overflow parking lot. All instances must have prior management approval. Based on occupancy levels, we reserve the right to modify or delete this service at any time. A $10 per day charge will be assessed during this period and must be paid in full prior to boat being stored No camper storage options are available at Stonewall Resort State Park.
