Requesting Early Termination Clause Samples

The 'Requesting Early Termination' clause defines the process by which one or both parties to an agreement can formally ask to end the contract before its scheduled completion date. Typically, this clause outlines the required notice period, the method for submitting a termination request, and any conditions or penalties that may apply. For example, a party may need to provide written notice 30 days in advance or pay a specified fee to terminate early. The core function of this clause is to provide a clear, structured mechanism for ending the agreement prematurely, thereby reducing uncertainty and potential disputes between the parties.
