Renewal Option – Modified Clause Samples

The Renewal Option – Modified clause allows a party, typically a tenant, to extend the term of an agreement beyond its original expiration under modified terms. This clause outlines the specific conditions under which renewal is permitted, such as notice periods, changes to rent or other key terms, and any limitations on the number or length of renewal periods. By clearly defining how and when a contract can be renewed and what modifications will apply, this clause provides both parties with predictability and flexibility, helping to avoid disputes over future terms and ensuring a smooth continuation of the contractual relationship if desired.
Renewal Option – Modified. This Contract may be renewed under the same terms and conditions, subject to the approval of the Commissioner of the Department of Administration and the State Budget Director in compliance with IC § 5-22-17-4. The term of the renewed contract may not be longer than two (2) years for a total Contract term of no longer than four (4) years.
