Removable Storage Clause Samples

The Removable Storage clause defines the rules and restrictions regarding the use of portable data storage devices, such as USB drives, external hard drives, or memory cards, within an organization or by its personnel. Typically, this clause outlines which types of removable storage are permitted, under what circumstances they may be used, and any security protocols that must be followed, such as encryption or prior authorization. Its core practical function is to mitigate the risks of data breaches, loss, or unauthorized data transfer by controlling how sensitive information can be stored and transported outside of secure systems.
