Common use of Relevant Documents Clause in Contracts

Relevant Documents. The Design Criteria shall be read in conjunction with the Agreement, the Authority’s Requirements, the Drawings and any other document forming part of the Agreement. The order of precedence (with the item appearing first in following list prevailing over the item(s) appearing later in the list) shall be:  Any specific requirement in this Agreement except specifications and drawings.  Indian and International Standards specified in Outline Design Specifications except that the International Standards shall prevail only where it is specifically mentioned so in the Outline Design Specifications.  Outline Design Specifications.  Outline Construction Specifications.  Drawings attached in the Agreement. Notwithstanding the precedence specified above the Contractor shall always immediately seek advice from the Engineer in the event of conflicts between Specifications prior to proceeding with such design works. The Technical Specifications (Outline Design Specification and Outline Construction Specification) and the Drawings are intended to be mutually explanatory and all works required in one, even if not in the other, shall be fully executed.
