A maximum of forty-eight (48) hours per year may be used by any single Bargaining Unit Member. Except in emergencies such requests will be made at least seven (7) calendar days prior to the date of the release. The CATA President may also request that a Bargaining Unit Member be released for the purpose of attendance at a meeting between CATA and the District scheduled by mutual agreement during the school day for purposes related to Agreement administration. If such a request is granted, the cost of a substitute employee will not be paid by CATA, nor will such a request be included as part of the one hundred and sixty (160) hours per semester referred to in the preceding paragraph.
