Relation to Other Benefits. A. An employee who uses leave without pay under this section will retain all health and life insurance benefits for the entire period of leave without pay. Such employees may defer payment of the employee's share of the cost of such benefits until the employee returns to pay status. If the employee elects to defer such payments, the employer will deduct one-sixth of the total amount owed from the employee's next six paychecks upon return from FMLA leave.
