The 'Regular professor' clause defines the status, rights, and responsibilities of a faculty member who holds a permanent or tenured academic position at an educational institution. This clause typically outlines the criteria for attaining regular professor status, such as qualifications, years of service, or performance evaluations, and may specify the privileges associated with the role, like job security, participation in governance, and eligibility for certain benefits. Regular professor. A professor employed by the College to teach in the regular program or to teach courses leading to a Diplôme d’études collégiales (DEC) [Diploma of College Studies] to students enrolled in continuing education. With the exception of summer courses, a professor hired by the College to teach a group of students the majority of whom are students enrolled in a program leading to a Diplôme d’études collégiales (DEC) [Diploma of College Studies] shall also be considered a regular professor.
