Registered Contractors Sample Clauses

The 'Registered Contractors' clause defines the requirement that only contractors who are officially registered or approved by a relevant authority or the contracting party may perform certain work under the agreement. In practice, this means that any subcontractors or service providers engaged must meet specific registration criteria, such as holding valid licenses or certifications, and may need to be listed with a governmental or industry body. This clause ensures that all work is performed by qualified and vetted professionals, thereby reducing the risk of substandard work and ensuring compliance with legal or regulatory standards.

If, in the opinion of the Town Board of the Town, the work performed by the contractor within the Town violates the provisions of this Local Law or any other Ordinance or Local Law of the Town, or if the contractor’s work is in the opinion of the Town Board substandard then, in that event, the Town Board may remove the Contractor from the registration list to do work associated with any Town Water District in the Town. Actions toward registration revocation shall be administered in accordance with Section 14.1.8 of this Law.
