Common use of Redirection of Effort Clause in Contracts

Redirection of Effort. The SHS1 anticipates that vessels will not increase their fishing effort in other fisheries. It is the intent of the Members to continue their historical participation in the scallop, monkfish, xxxxxxx, mackerel, skate, dogfish, squid, xxxxxxx, lobster and shrimp fisheries for which they possess federal or state permits. During the first quarter of FY 2014, one SHS1 vessel switched fishing efforts into the loligo squid fishery. During FYs 2015 and 2016, the SHS1 anticipates no significant redirection of effort to other fisheries.

Redirection of Effort. The SHS1 SHS3 anticipates that vessels will not increase their fishing effort in other fisheries. It is the intent of the Members to continue their historical participation in the scallop, monkfish, xxxxxxx, mackerel, skate, dogfish, squid, xxxxxxx, lobster and shrimp fisheries for which they possess federal or state permits. During FY 2013, no SHS3 vessel switched fishing efforts. During the first quarter of FY 2014, one SHS1 no SHS3 vessel switched fishing efforts into the loligo squid fisheryfishing. During FYs 2015 and 2016, the SHS1 SHS3 anticipates no significant redirection of effort to other fisheries.

During the first quarter of FY 2014, one SHS1 vessel switched fishing efforts into the loligo squid fishery.
