Rectification Work Clause Samples

The Rectification Work clause defines the contractor's obligation to correct any defects or deficiencies in the completed work after the project has been handed over. Typically, this clause sets out a specific period—often called the defects liability period—during which the contractor must return to fix issues identified by the client, such as faulty materials or poor workmanship. Its core practical function is to ensure that the final deliverable meets the agreed standards and to provide a clear process for addressing post-completion problems, thereby protecting the client’s interests and maintaining quality assurance.
