Reasonable Use and Occupancy Clause Samples
The Reasonable Use and Occupancy clause defines the tenant's obligation to use and occupy the leased premises in a manner that is considered reasonable and appropriate. Typically, this means the tenant must not engage in activities that cause excessive wear, damage, or nuisance, and must comply with applicable laws and building rules. For example, a residential tenant would be expected to use the property as a private dwelling and not for commercial purposes. This clause helps ensure that the property is maintained in good condition and that the landlord's interests are protected by preventing misuse or inappropriate activities.
