Common use of Realignment Sequence Clause in Contracts

Realignment Sequence. Realignment of position due to layoff, change in home port, change from shift to continuous operating and vice versa, or vessel permanently taken out-of-service will be in accordance with this Article. a) Affected Officer’s will be entitled to choose one of the following options and must indicate, upon receiving notification of realignment, which of the following options he wishes to exercise: i) Exercise his service seniority and realign to a position within the fleet for which he has the service seniority, qualifications, experience, and ability sufficient to perform the work.
